Service was top notch. Cocktails were excellent. Food was good, but you will definitely pay for it. The steak was not cooked quite to request... The cost to the experience didn't match. Will be coming back to try other menu items though!

We wanted to go all out for dinner at least one night on our honeymoon and chose the Silver Coach. We were not disappointed. Friendly staff, pretty and historic setting, good drinks, and amazing food. We had the short ribs as an appetizer; it was so tender you could cut it with a butter knife. We both had one of the steaks on special for our main course and they were cooked to perfect and covered in a delicious sauce. No complaints from either of us, and my husband is very particular about steaks!
Decided to pop in for Friday night fish. Our meal was so delicious!! Caesar Salad, New England Clam Chowder (excellent!), beer battered cod, potatoes crusted walleye, sautéed veggies. We finished with a to die for White Russian Chocolate Pie. So yummy. Oh, and a Key Lime Pie Martini. So yummy! So I came back again for the fish fry, and to try a couple of different cocktails. I was in the mood for an expresso martini, and Brenda did one better. She custom blended a chocolate expresso martini! The fried cod is still the best around and it's served with plenty of tartar sauce. To finish off, I tried a pink squirrel for dessert. All together, an excellent meal. We'll be back again soon.
The food was great. I got the fried vegetables, a Ceasars salad and the mahi-mahi special. It tasted amazing. The atmosphere is amazing and the entry way looks amazing. The server Sydney was terrific at her job. Super bubbly and professional. The chef was also friendly. Would highly recommend a stop. There is also artwork throughout and a cool looking bar.
99% of our meal was very good. Hubby had beef gumbo soup and the blackened steak with creole potatoes. I had Ceasar salad with blackened chicken and creole potatoes. We shared the crayfish balls appetizer. We also had iced teas flavored with mango and blackberry syrup. Our server was very personable. The food was flavorful but did need salt. The 1% of my meal that wasn't good was when my bite of chicken contained gristle. That was it for me. This is a high end restaurant with prices to match, so finding the gristle was a huge disappointment. I brought home the potatoes but not the chicken.
Fun find - Silver Coach Supper Club - our server Juliet made it a fun visit and offered the private dining room that was formerly a "sleeper" in the original train car - very interesting details in this private dining room for two. In all candor dining at the Silver Coach deserves more time than we really wanted to devote as we were just driving through and ordered from their "lighter fare" portion of the menu. I tried the short rail ribs with fries and she tried the chicken strips with fries - again, probably not what we'd typically order for finer dining. My ribs were delicious, tasty, tangy sauce and her chicken strips were a little dry but tasty enough. We both had Brandy Old fashioneds from the bar and they were excellent. The decor is step back in time, nicely done. The next time we visit, we'll allow more time to soak in the ambiance and enjoy the full supper club experience. Enjoy, we did.
